JOVANA BOZIC IN YALE, USA (2015):

She was involved in research activities aimed at the screening for Yeast in other arthropod vector as the Tsetse Fly (Glossina sp.) and  testing samples for the presence of Wickerhamomyces anomalus.

This  activity has been carried out in collaboration with the group of

Prof. S. Aksoy at Yale, School of Public Health.

 

 

 


MARIA VITORIA MANCINI IN BRASIL, (2016):

She was involved in field activities aimed at studying natural microbiota of ​larvae and adults of An. darlingi, the main vector of malaria in Neotropics.

Collection were performed in artificial and natural breeding sites in Mancio Lima, a village of Acre State, Brazil.

This activity has been carried out in collaboration with the group of

Prof. P. Ribolla at University of Sao Paulo State.

 


PRISCILLA MENSAH IN PEMBA (TANZANIA), 2016:

As a winner of the  “1° Premio - Carlo Urbani” 2015, she was awarded an international internship scholarship to participate in the Master training course in Tropical Medicine and Global Health at the Public Health Laboratory “Ivo de Carneri” in Pemba (Tanzania).

The course, particularly focused on NTD (Neglected Tropical Diseases), aims at equipping its multidisciplinary and multicultural participants with the knowledge to fight-off infectious and parasitic diseases in developing, if not endemic, countries.

 

 

Ivo de Carneri Foundation Onlus: On July 18, 2016 started The Course of Tropical Diseases in 2016 in Pemba (Tanzania).

PRISCILLA MENSAH IN GHANA, (WEST AFRICA), 2017:

She was involved in field activities aimed at studying natural microbiota of ​larvae and adults of An. gambiae, the main vector of malaria in Africa.

Collection were performed in natural breeding sites and the experimental activities are aimed to verify the circulation of yeasts in wild mosquitoes.

This activity has been carried out in collaboration with the group of

Prof. Linda Eva Amoah at Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR), University of Ghana.
